About

Me

Hello! 👋 I'm a soon-to-be graduate with a master's degree in Engineering Physics. I've always been captivated by the intricate laws that shape our reality 🌌, which drew me to this field. Over time, my interests expanded, leading me to a deep passion for machine learning and artificial intelligence 🤖. While my academic foundation lies in physics, I've cultivated—and continue to refine—a suite of computing and coding skills 💻, the majority of which I've acquired through self-directed learning. As I navigate the next phase of my life 🚀, I'm intently focused on carving out a career centered around machine learning. Eager to continually learn and adapt, I approach each new challenge with enthusiasm and curiosity 🔍, as I continue to find my path and purpose 🛤️.

Experience

Teaching Assistant @ IST

February 2023 - July 2023

University Teaching

  • Leading tutorial sessions on the courses Mechaniscs and Waves and Physics-I.
  • Assisting in the preparation and correction of exams for both courses.
  • Facilitating doubt sessions, addressing students' queries and clarifying course content.

Summer Internship @ LIP

June 2020 - September 2020

Exploring the Fast Evolution of QGP

  • Simulation of interactions between jets and the QGP medium, using a jet quenching Monte Carlo event-generator.
  • Examination of the dependence of jet energy loss distribution on parameters like initial temperature (Ti), initialization time (τ0), and the medium's evolution profile.
  • Work at the internship culminated in a research paper, which you can find here.

Academic & Extracurricular Engagements

AAAI Conference @ San Francisco

March 2023
  • Presented a poster at the AAAI Spring Symposium on Computational Approaches in Scientific Discovery in San Francisco, USA. The poster titled "Machine Learning for Optimizing Plasma Resource Utilization on Mars" showcased the work from my Master's thesis, where I applied machine learning techniques to optimize plasma CO2 dissociation in simulations.
  • You can find the poster here.
  • For a deeper insight into the subject of my Master's thesis, I invite you to watch this video.
